After taking off the damaged plywood, we installed bird blocks at the bottom, which allow air to enter the attic space. Next, we replaced the plywood and put on the new roof.

To enhance ventilation further, we installed a continuous ridge vent at the top, ensuring the roof can breathe properly. This setup qualifies the roof for a 50-year material warranty and a 25-year labor warranty. Even if we retire and move to Hawaii, this labor warranty will still be valid, which is a significant advantage.

Once the roof was complete, we installed a high-quality 5K aluminum single-run gutter system with a screen. Given the number of trees in this area, this new gutter system will keep debris out, allowing water to flow freely and preventing any potential damage to the roof.
