Three Tree Roofing is leaving Clyde Hill after finishing up this exceptional roof. The roof is CertainTeed Northgate in Espresso. Super cool. It’s a Pacific Northwest coffee color, which looks awesome. We have a lot going on with this roofing system making it a dynamic and rewarding project.

For this roofing system install, we have six skylights, both flat and composition roofing, and even a pool to enjoy once the roof is done. Given this complexity, a well-defined game plan is essential. To address this, our estimator and crew leader meet to develop a strategic plan tailored to each project before any work begins. Specifically for this job, our plan focused on protecting the grounds, securing every detail, and making safety the top priority before we start the roof tear-off (removal of the old roofing). Once our plan is in place, the crew arrives and ensures every area is protected. By maintaining a clean, safe environment at every step, we can begin our work on the roof and remove the old roofing.

This composition roof was recycled for future asphalt roads. After removing the old material, we inspect the wood, add underlayment, install perimeter and edge metals, and install the new roof. For skylights, we install custom-built flashing, custom bending it onsite—never reusing or using kits.

For the flat area, we use TPO (thermoplastic polyolefin), a roofing membrane that works really well with asphalt shingles. As a result, the entire roof is covered under the warranty. Once that is complete, we install our ridge safety anchors secured to the roof's peak for worker safety. Thanks to these steps, everything turned out really, really nice on this roof.
