This finished roofing project in Kirkland, Washington, combines composition and flat roofing materials. The composition roof is CertainTeed Presidential TL in Autumn Blend, while the flat section roofing is Weatherbond TPO Membrane Roof. It turned out amazing.

Composition roofing and TPO work well together. With the two roofing systems installed, it's okay for the materials to touch. However, some roofing products don't work well together. Your roofer must know which shingles go together and which materials are compatible with the flat TPO membrane.

We also installed all new gutters with a screen around the house. That will help keep debris out of the gutter system, making it much easier to maintain and much safer by minimizing frequent maintenance and reducing the risk of clogs.

We added five new low-e argon-filled, double-pane skylights. It turned out great. Skylights are a good option, letting a lot of light into the house. From beginning to end, we were on this roof for four days. It was a good turnaround time. We had an expert crew on the project. Everybody is up to speed on these types of projects.
